The only song I wrote during my Senior year of high school.

Finally Free

Sometimes I feel I'm slipping away.
Life gets hard to take.
I want to get back to how I used to be.
When I knew how to smile, but that was long ago.

Reality has crushed my dreams.
It has taken everything out of me.
Numbness is setting in.
Lead me to where my pain will be healed.
Set me free, finally free.

How do you get rid of the emptiness?
The dark that takes over the light.
Somewhere along the way I lost my path.
I could not say where I thought it would take me.
